One system to run your charity: beneficiaries, sponsorships and aid, with accounting on the unified guide.
Maawna is an Arabic cloud system, built on the work of a real Saudi charity: the national ID, the Saudi IBAN, the Hijri calendar, and the unified accounting guide.

The beneficiary and their family
One file gathering the dependants, the income, the categories, the documents, and what the family has received. With search by name, filters by status, by last update and by last aid, and a recovery bin for what was archived.
Orphans
The orphan type and the age are computed, one list gathers the orphans within families and the independent orphans, and you may register a guardian for each independent one.
Sponsorships
Seven classifications, a shortlist of the neediest by income per person, a duration that closes the sponsorship when it ends, and bulk creation. And no two active sponsorships are opened for the same person.
Donors
Cash and in kind, and the in-kind donation enters the inventory in the same operation. With totals and zakat, and a printed annual report for the donor in the Hijri or the Gregorian calendar, in which the sponsored names are printed with the first name and one letter of the family name.
Inventory, campaigns and distribution
A computed balance, a campaign reservation that holds under concurrency, and single and bulk distribution with a quantity check. And the employee sees what the family has received before distributing.
Vouchers
Draft, then approved, then delivered, with category targeting, and bulk issuing and approval.
Committees and visits
The researcher's visit and the committee's decision are linked, and the committee's decision determines the fate of the visit.
Employees and members
A record of the employees and their salaries, and of the members and their subscriptions.
Indicators
Seven indicators on one dashboard, and a report of the sponsorships that need renewal, exported as a spreadsheet.

Accounting
Maawna's chart of accounts is based on the unified accounting guide for charities, with its levels, and your charity adds its own accounts at the last level.
- And an entry is not saved unless it is balanced.
- And a correction is made by a reversing entry, not by editing the original, and every entry has a voucher that is printed.
- And member subscriptions are posted automatically when they are recorded.
- And from it come: the trial balance, the financial position, the statement of activities, the account statement, the general ledger, and the journal — and three of them are exported as a spreadsheet.
Security and trust
- Signing in is by a one-time code sent to the employee's email.
- Your charity's data is not shown to another charity.
- The ID number is stored encrypted, only its last four digits are shown, and it is not written into the change log.
- You define what each role sees and what it edits, and the permission is checked on every save.
- And a record of every change: who, when, and what changed.
- Registered with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property
- Based on the unified accounting guide
Frequently asked questions
How do I subscribe?
Write to us at info@maawna.com. We get to know the size of your charity and what it needs, and we send you a quote. And after agreement we set up your charity's account.
Can I see the system first?
Yes. Ask for that in your message, and we open an account for you in a demonstration charity with synthetic data, where you browse the system yourself as the charity's manager sees it.
Does it need installation or technical expertise?
No. Maawna is an online system opened from the browser, and signing in is by a code sent to the employee's email. No server at your side, no program to install, no maintenance on you, and the system's database is backed up daily.
Who sees the beneficiaries' data?
Your charity's employees alone, each according to their permission. And your charity's data is not shown to another charity. And the ID number is stored encrypted and only its last four digits are shown. And every change is recorded with the name of whoever made it and its time.
Does it suit our accounting?
Maawna's chart of accounts is based on the unified accounting guide for charities, with its levels, and your charity adds its own accounts at the last level. And an entry is not saved unless it is balanced, and from it come the trial balance, the financial position, the statement of activities, the account statement, the general ledger, and the journal.
And after going live, who trains our employees?
We sit with your team for an introductory session at go-live, and the channel of communication stays open for your questions.
We set up your charity's account within one business day of receiving its basic data.
Setting up covers creating the charity's account, its roles and its first manager.
